In January, 2009, my friend Mel and I flew to Saigon to enjoy (?) a few weeks of cycling in Vietnam and Cambodia. Bicycling, not motorcycling. Melanie had completed her extreme training session, which consisted of dusting off her bike in her garden and cycling to TK Maxx to buy a handbag. She was ready and raring to go.
